Introduction
Rapid International is growing its factory in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, by adding a new building to support its expanding operations. This extension will house the Rapid Power Generation division and boost production capabilities.
The Problem
With increasing demand for Rapid’s products, especially from the power generation side, the existing facility was reaching its capacity limits. To keep up with customer needs and support future growth, more space and dedicated areas were necessary.
What Was Carried Out
A purpose-built 14,000 square foot extension is being added to the manufacturing site. It will include a large workshop dedicated to electrical panel production, a main fabrication and assembly floor, along with offices and staff areas. The facility will focus on producing diesel and natural gas generators.
Results
The new space will allow the company to increase its manufacturing output significantly. It will also create around 30 new jobs across departments like production, design, manufacturing, and management, benefiting the local workforce.
